Notes
Notes:
- Thanks to Tim Dalton for the primary Dat source, the secondary PCM source, as well as the patch reel
- Thanks to Charlie Miller for the transfers and coordinating this effort
- Secondary source: Betty's Master Soundboard Reel > PCM supplies "Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower", "Around & Around" and "US Blues" encore
- Betty's patch reel used to cover reel flips in "Playin' In The Band" (0:21), "Crazy Fingers" (0:26) and "Franklin's Tower" (0:23)
- The mix wanders, Keith is in the right channel most of the time (incorrect for this time period)and in both channels sometimes, however, if the channels are swapped to correct for Keith, the rest of the band are in the wrong channels most of the time, so I left it as is. It seems most, if not all, of June 1976 reel mixes are not period correct

Best ever Slipknot!
Love this show. June '76 is hot as it is, but this might be the creme de la creme. So many great renditions of Dead classics at this show. PitB has a bit

of '74-esque playing in it, and obviously the H>S>F might get the most attention but the Slipknot! by itself is THE version of this song IMO. Other highlights include: Brown Eyed Women, Cassidy, Lazy Lighting>Supplication, the whole CRAZY FINGERS (another definitive version IMO)>Dancin'>Cosmic Charlie that precedes the H>S>F. The Dead were ON in the mid-'70s! '76-77 is a legendary peak in the band's history, but these Summer '76 shows are something special. And this recording is so crystal clear. Turn your bass up because you're gonna wanna pay extra attention to Phil on this night. No Phil Bombs (that I'm aware of anyway), but if you want a masterclass in effortless "walking" bass runs, this show is 3.5 hours worth of that. Thank you to Betty & Tim for providing the tapes! Wave that flag.

This is top shelf 76' Dead. The second set is excellently performed with an amazing Cosmic Charlie and jazzy H>S>F to end the show.

Slipknot era
1976 is for me the peak era for slipknots. Great jazzy show all over, and the usual quality from Scott, Charlie, Tim, and Betty. Thank you all for not
